One of the unique performers on the national storytelling circuit today, Angela is available and seeking to collaborate with schools and arts organizations in the high desert.
She was featured in 1997 at the 25th National Storytelling Festival, in Jonesborough, Tennessee, returning in 2003, 2010, 2015. Angela
regularly appears at regional festivals across the country. " When they call - I say "Thank you, yes.".
A virtuosa on Washboard, Angela's performances are a whimsical braid of poetry, story and song played on Autoharp, Tenor Guitar, Spoon and Bell.
Angela's debut recording, was aa winner, Dreams and Other Realities (NAPPA Gold Award 1996 ). 2022 is the 20th anniversary of Sandburg Out Loud - Story, Song, Poetry and Music featuring Angela w/ colleagues Bill Harley, Carol Birch and David Holt. Check it out!
Then this happened: 1998 I met Carol Per Lee, wrote a grant in 1999 and in 2000-2003 became California Arts Council Artists in Schools grantee – a teaching artist in residence at The Walden School in Pasadena, CA.
The school funded the residency project independently 2003 - 2007.
A little known fact: I met a fellow. We took walks, became friends, I stayed home more. We married.
2009 – 2021: Storytelling teacher in residence at Children's Community School in Van Nuys, Ca.
